S.M.E.R.F.
S.M.E.R.F. is a Prince Edward Island based team. We are always looking for new players. We play at BallBreakersPaintball (home base), and we attend a few scenario games each year off island. Our most recent game was Banshee's "Warrior in the Woods XI" over at StormWarning paintball, Nova Scotia.
S.M.E.R.F. stands for (S)pecial (M)ilitary (E)mergency (R)esponse (F)orce. It is a unique Woodsball(Scenario) and Milsim team that is dedicated to upholding the impeccable values of Sportsmanship such as Integrity, Honesty, Determination and Loyalty. We strive to provide the best possible experience available to paintball players on Prince Edward Island, and above all we value our family-like, friendly, and casual atmosphere.
Membership types:
Founding Members: These are the original S.M.E.R.F. Members.
Active Members: These are the people who have received full membership into the Team, and are currently playing with the Team and attending Scenario games.
Inactive Members: These are people who have full status as a Team Member, but for whatever reason, are not able to play or attend events.
Recruit: This is a member who plays with the group or attends events with us, but has not yet been voted into full member status by the Team.
Honorary Members: These are generally the Team Members family or friends, who play with the group on occasion, but do not attend events.
Membership requirements
To become a member of the Team, you must be willing to attend the team practices which are every 2 weeks at our private field. You must also attend at least 1 scenario game with the Team. You must be an honest player, who also plays fair.
After these requirements are met, the Active Team Members will take a vote as to whether you shall receive full status as a Team Member. Until Member status has been awarded, all new players will be considered recruits.
Our Code of Conduct
1. We will set an example for sportsmanship, honesty and integrity in the scenario paintball community. We will not tolerate wiping, cheating and bad attitudes. We will strive to provide a positive image for our team, our sponsors, and our sport.
2. We will not hesitate to welcome new players to the sport, help them, teach them, and lead by example.
3. We will always work as a team, covering our teammates and moving toward the common goal. We will never leave our teammates behind
unless we are eliminated.
4. We will defend our ground and advance on the opposition with total determination until relieved or eliminated. When advancing, we will
always move forward, toward our objective, never settling for a stalemate.
5. We will follow the orders of any and all established authority of the team on which we play at any scenario game. We are a team, and we
contribute to the overall team mission.
6. We will understand the importance of our own, and our unit's actions in the scheme of the larger plan, and help those around us to do the
same.
7. We will learn from our teammates and others in the sport and will share what we have learned with everyone on the Team and anyone who wants to learn.
8. Regardless of the outcome or the score, we will enjoy the adventure. Winning is secondary to enjoying the event and having a good time.
